Inaugural UAE Road Cycling Championship’s first-stage set for wheels rolling along Abu Dhabi’s Corniche with Daman’s ActiveLife

Stage-one route to take cyclists along Abu Dhabi Corniche on Friday January 26th
Championship open to all Amateur Cyclists, in the UAE, aged 16 years and over
UAE, Dubai, Wednesday January 10th 2018: UAE Cycling Federation has joined forces with The National Health Insurance – Daman, through their ActiveLife community programme, for the opening-stage of the Inaugural UAE Road Cycling Championship, to be held Friday January 26th 2018 in Abu Dhabi.
The Abu Dhabi stage-route has been confirmed to take competitors along the stunning Abu Dhabi Corniche, and, showing that their commitment to a healthier society goes beyond supporting such initiatives, a team from Daman, including the CEO, will also compete against fellow Emirati and Expatriate cyclists for stage-one glory.

We believe the UAE Road Cycling Championship will provide such an experience and we look forward to watching our cycling enthusiasts compete along the (Abu Dhabi) corniche.” added Al Shafar.

Open to all cyclists across the UAE, with age division categories from age 16 years and over, both the Abu Dhabi and the Dubai stages will see a stage-winner crowned, with the UAE Road Cycling Championship’s Emirati and Expatriate Champions (Men and Women) being awarded after the 2nd stage in Dubai. Both stages will be timed using Mylaps ProChip by Sports Timing Services, where points will accumulate to decide UAE Road Cycling Championship 2018 Champions.
Registrations are now open where a special 10%-off offer is currently available for cyclists who register for both the Abu Dhabi and Dubai stages, the cutoff for this offer is Sunday January 21st.
